Dr. Biagio Manna's Bio
Dr. Biagio Manna is an FAA designated Senior Aviation Medical Examiner and a fellowship trained Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeon, with additional training and certifications in Wound Management and Hyperbaric Medicine. He has over 30 years of experience in medicine and surgery.
Dr. Manna holds a Commercial pilot certificate with an Instrument rating , as well as Advanced Ground Instructor and Certified Flight Instructor ratings. He is a very active pilot and an overall aviation enthusiast.
" As a pilot, I am subjected to the same FAA regulations for Medical Certification as any other Airman / Airwoman undergoing a flight physical, and have, therefore, first hand insight into the medical circumstances that can cause apprehension during the medical certification process.
